Minimum Requirements for A320 Captains

Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Valid ATPL licence with a current A320 rating

  • Current IR/TR with a minimum of 6 months validity

  • Valid Class 1 Medical with at least 6 months validity

  • Minimum 3,500 hours Total Flight Time on multiengine jet aircraft with an MTOW of 5,700 kg or more

  • Minimum 1,000 hours PIC on multiengine jet aircraft with an MTOW of 5,700 kg or more

  • Ideally actively flown on the A320 within the previous 12 months

  • Flexibility may be available for A320 Captains who have not flown within the previous 12 months but have maintained the validity of their IR/TR

  • Preference for candidates with take-offs and landings within the previous 90 days

  • Minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4

  • Must be able to provide ATPL examination results

A320 Captain Hiring Process

Nobox will support candidates throughout the recruitment process.

Step 1: Initial Screening Call

Eligible applicants will complete an initial screening call with a Nobox Consultant to discuss their flying experience, qualifications, availability, and suitability for the position.

Step 2: Application & Documentation

Candidates progressing beyond the initial screening stage will complete an application and documentation pack, which will then be submitted to the airline.

Applicants should be prepared to provide the necessary licences, medical certification, flying records, ATPL examination results, and supporting documentation.

Step 3: SIM Assessment & HR Interview

Selected candidates will be invited to the client's headquarters to complete:

  • Simulator assessment

  • HR interview

Successful completion of the assessment process will move candidates toward joining the airline as an A320 Captain.
